The correct answer is that you are charged 3 berth and 5 limited-express tickets for
2 adults and 3 children. The limited-express charge is 2890 yen for adult and 1440 yen
for child.

If you have Japan Rail Pass, you are free from reserved seats of almost all trains
without limited-express charges. But you are requested express chages in addition
to berth ones, when you take beds.

With the JR regulation, "not-free child" means a child older than or equal to 6 years,
and younger than 12. Hokutosei has private rooms, such as Royal (single or double bed),
Twin Deluxe, Duet and Solo. The JR regulation is somewhat complicated. If you have
